Charlotte was born August 30, 1944, in Red Bud, Illinois. Charlotte graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1966 and was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Peter Mills; daughters: Julie Kirsch and her husband Steve, Erin Faircloth and her husband Gary; son Perry Mills; and grandchildren: Makenzie Kirsch, Nicholas Kirsch, Annie Faircloth, Kyle Faircloth, Charlie Faircloth, and Grayson Mills.
Charlotte was proud to have been among the first women to work in securities trading on LaSalle Street in Chicago. She was an active volunteer in the San Ramon Valley (California) School District during the years her children were students.
She then found her true calling. As Director of Membership and Events for the Danville (California) Area Chamber of Commerce, she blended her love for working with people and organizational skills in her perfect job.
Charlotte was a lot of things: a loving wife and mother, a friend to all she met, someone who would listen, share your burdens, and make you laugh.
She gave us memories which have made each of us a little better.
Her love extended to the many cats and dogs that she pampered. She volunteered at the Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek, California. However, she was not a great foster parent. Almost all became permanent family members.
Anyone wishing to contribute in her memory please contact Humane Colorado (formerly known as the Dumb Friends League): https://humanecolorado.org
