Dawn Lee McKittrick Thompson

Dawn Lee Thompson, born on May 31, 1970 left us on February 19th, 2011, but her playful, giving spirit will continue to live in our hearts forever. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved laughter, family gatherings, and her friends. Dawn always maintained her sense of humor and love of life, treasuring each moment with her children and loved ones. Her work as a nurse at nursing homes in Colorado and at Spalding Rehabilitation Center reflected her compassion and dedication to the comfort and needs of others. She is survived by loving husband, Jeffrey Thompson, sons, Brett and Caden, daughter Hannah, mother, Kathy McKittrick, father, Roy Evans, brother, Adam McKittrick, mother-in-law, Judy Downie Zagnoli, fathers-in-law, Terry Downie and Wayne Thompson, sister-in-law, Lisa Downie, and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family thanks Dawn’s loyal friends, and is grateful to the community of Castle Rock for their continuing love and support. A viewing will be held at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home, 407 Jerry St., Castle Rock,CO on Thursday 2/24 from 4pm to 7pm. Services will be held at The Rock, 4881 Cherokee Drive Castle Rock, Colorado 80109 on Tuesday 3/1 at 10:30 am.
