Donna Mae Spencer

Donna Mae Spencer (Gross), lovingly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and cherished member of church and community, was born on August 8, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and passed away on March 8, 2025 in Parker, Colorado.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 11:00am; Saturday, March 15, 2025 in the chapel at Olinger Andrews funeral home located at 407 Jerry St, Castle Rock, CO. Please feel free to dress casually in festive, vibrant, heavenly colors or your favorite Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, or Denver Broncos attire.

Donna attended Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On July 15, 1961, she married the love of her life, David Allen Spencer, and together they built a family grounded in faith and love. As a dedicated mother, housewife, friend and later a teacher's aide at Headstart in Pierre and Craig Middle School, Donna touched the hearts of many with her energy, humor, warmth and kindness.

Donna and Dave traveled extensively and loved RV camping in the mountains with their beloved golden retrievers. Donna was an active member at church, of sorority clubs and found joy in spending time with friends, loving people, scrapbooking, and dancing. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband David Spencer; her beloved children: Kathleen Dawn (Spencer) Hocke and her husband Jeff Hocke; Kristine Marie (Spencer) Julseth; and her treasured grandchildren: Ryan David Hocke and his wife Hailey Renee Hocke, Jennifer Nicole Hocke, Katelin Mae Julseth, and Annabeth Shelby Julseth.

Donna was preceded in death by her father Frank Gross, her mother Dorothy (Kamrath) Gross, and her son-in-law Timothy Dean Julseth.

Donna Mae Spencer leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and joyous memories. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord Jesus, where her spirit continues to shine.
