He honorably served in the U.S. Army for two years in Germany during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he had a long career as a machinist, shaping, engineering, and precision crafting everything from electric car parts to robotics components, beer cans, and tools. He concluded his career with retirement in 2010 at age 65.
Duard loved riding motorcycles and traveling to Sturgis. He took great pride in rebuilding, restoring, and fine-tuning antique motorcycles and classic cars. He also enjoyed hanging out with his dogs throughout the years.
Duard is survived by his spouse, Barb Cannon; his son, Brian Cannon (Holly); his daughter, Lorna Landis (Joel); his grandchildren, Byllie Quintana, Jack Cannon, Gideon Cannon, Kadence Landis, Josie Landis, and Matthew Rowan; his great-grandchildren, Olliver Hunt and Cambria Hunt; and his sisters, Mary Sue Cannon and Linda Douell (Gene).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Rowan.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on June 19, 2026, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado 80236. Time and Lane assignment are pending. Please check back closer to June 19th for updates.
