A native of Colorado Fern was born on August 5, 1917 in Palmer Lake, Colorado.
She loved flowers and had worked in greenhouses in the Denver area. She loved her flower garden and was a florist. She also worked for Wright & McGill in Denver. Fern also loved fishing and riding horses.
Fern moved to Canon City in 1982 with her first husband Louis Breecher.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Louis Breecher in 1990 and her second husband Harold Newberry in 2007.
She is survived by her niece Barbara Jarrett of Canon City, CO and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fremont Regional Hospice, 1439 Main Street, Canon City, Colorado 81212.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2011 at Spring Valley Cemetery, Spring Valley, Colorado.
