Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Larry, but Mrs. D shared so many things about him that where heart warming and he seemed to be loved by many. Our thoughts are with you Mrs. D and we love you!

My condolences to the Laughery family, losing a loved one is never easy.  Larry was stern coach who got the most out his athletes.  Rest in Peace Coach.

I did not know Larry personally at all but Mrs. Dallman was my teacher a few years ago and spoke of so many fond memories with him - may he Rest In Peace and know he was so loved

My condolences to his family, especially Jenny -- I didn't know Larry personally but heard so many great things about him from his daughter.  Hold those good memories tight, Jenny.

I loved Larry; from him teaching me science to how to do a cross-face. I miss him hammering us during wrestling practice on the old stage and telling stories of the big earthquake in Alaska in 1964. I watched his dogs when he and his family were away and he helped teach me it's okay to be tough and smart. My heart reaches out to Jess and everyone in his family.

You were a beacon of light that helped transform many lost youth into productive adults and am forever greatful for the many life lessons learned. I am a better and more determined person for knowing you.  RIP Coach.

Mr. Laughery was an inspiring teacher and coach. A dynamic personality, he brought excitement to earth science (who knew it rocks could be exciting?!) with humor and patience. We had a class of all girls with one boy - how we all survived is a mystery he takes with him. And as a coach! River Valley Wrestling during his era was epic. Heart and pride. He breathed it, his wrestlers emulated it, and the rest of us wanted to be part of it. What he created in and out of the classroom will be difficult to repeat. I am honored to have been his student. My deepest sympathies to you all at this time. Please know he made a difference to many.
