Pauline Della (Gensler) Ellis, age 89 of Kiowa CO, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024. She was born on January 27, 1935 in Dona Ana County New Mexico, the daughter of Henry Gensler and Florence Cline Gensler. Pauline married James “Buck” Ellis and they celebrated 33 years of marriage together before his passing.
Pauline was raised in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, a place that she cherished and was proud to call her home. She had a green thumb and was passionate about gardening – including her famous vegetables. She was an avid history fan, a Native American and Southwestern artwork lover, and was proud of her German heritage. Pauline will be remembered as a strong, independent woman. Her greatest pride and joy was her family and she cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her son Kyle Ellis and his wife Jacie; grandchildren Austin Ellis and Kacie Ellis; and sister-in-law Patsy Gensler. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buck, sons Casey Ellis and Ike Ellis, and brothers Walter Gensler and Jimmy Gensler.
