Ryan Thomas Kirby, 43, united with his Lord and savior on May 15, 2026. He was born October 6, 1982, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Ryan spent his early childhood in Lincoln before moving to Southern California in first grade. He graduated from Westlake High School in 2000, earned his bachelor's degree from CSU Channel Islands, and later earned his MBA from California Lutheran University.
Ryan built a career defined by steady dedication and a people-first spirit. He worked for AT&T for 20 years in both the business and sales departments, and later served as Comcast’s Director of Inside Sales. In every role, Ryan was known for the way he connected with others—bringing warmth, energy, and an open-hearted presence that made colleagues feel valued and teams feel united.
In May 2014, Ryan married Jessica, and together they built a family life centered on time spent side by side. Ryan and Jessica welcomed two sons, Luke and James, and enjoyed traveling as a family. Ryan especially loved being involved in the boys’ sports and coached their football teams, showing up with the same generous spirit that shaped every part of his life. The Kirbys believed that home is where your family is, as they moved several times from California to Texas, then to Castle Pines, Colorado.
Ryan’s larger-than-life personality was matched by a genuine love for people. He had a gift for bringing others together and making room for laughter, conversation, and shared moments—always with a big heart and an instinct to make others feel included.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kent Kirby.
Ryan is survived by his wife, Jessica Kirby; sons, Luke Kirby and James Kirby; mother, Kathy Kirby; brother, Eric Kirby and his wife Jennifer; parent-in-laws, Brenda and Greg Smith; and brother-in-law, Justin Smith.
