Theresa (AKA Terry) was born in Newark, New Jersey to the late Robert Bierbaum and Emma Gabrielle. She grew up in Bloomfield, New Jersey and graduated from Bloomfield High School. She moved to Melbourne, Florida and most recently she lived in Castle Rock, Colorado. She was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, New Jersey and Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, Florida and then most recently Saint Francis of Assisi in Castle Rock, Colorado.
She was a generous, kind, loving and loyal person. Terry worked many jobs throughout the years waitressing, check-cashing, retail to working in a dry cleaners. She also had her own babysitting business in Florida and would always go above and beyond. Her real passion was housecleaning and animal sitting and she had her own business doing that in Florida and then in Colorado. When she passed she was dog sitting for one of her regulars.
As a single mother to Patricia Zecca and James Morrison; she became mom and dad to her children and protected them fiercely. She was very active in both her children’s lives from coaching cheerleading, Girl Scout leader, PTA member/president, Boy Scout leader, one of the heads of the local Boy Scout troops and room mom. She participated in all her children’s extracurricular activities and encouraged them to be involved. She sent her children to Ascension Catholic School from pre-K on because she valued private education (wanting to give her children the best chances in life) and also raising them up in the Roman Catholic faith. She made sure her children received their sacraments and were raised in the Catholic faith.
In recent years she was an amazing and devoted Grandma (Nanna) to 4 smart and beautiful girls: Mia Petruzzi, Gianna Petruzzi, Adeline Morrison, and Jolie Spears. Her grandchildren were the love of her world. She was also a loving mother-in-law to RoseAnn Andrus. She was a devoted big sister to Steven Bierbaum, Robert Bierbaum Jr., Donna Gabrielle, her sister-in-law Darlene Bierbaum and was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Michael Gabrielle.
If you knew Terry you would know that she loved shopping, country music and line dancing, going to church and Bible study, cleaning, organizing, and volunteering….. just to name a few. She was a survivor of many things that happened in her short life but she never gave up and always became stronger in spite of it. Her faith in God and her love for her family helped build her strong foundation. She was so gentle unless you messed with one of her children then she became a warrior!
She will be greatly missed and her void will never be filled until we are all together again!!!!
