On July 27, 2022, Christopher Kruger Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 58. For the past 20 years, Chris was the loving and devoted husband to wife Jennifer. He was the son of Catherine and the late John (Jack) Kruger Sr. He is survived by brothers John and his wife Susan, David and his wife Joan, and the late George Kruger and his wife Brenda. Chris was the loving and dedicated father to Christopher Jr. and wife Elisabeth, Danielle, Matthew and wife Natasha, and Elizabeth. He was an amazing Poppy to grandchildren Bryce, Brynlee, Paityn, Leo, Jaxson, and Scarlett.
Chris spent his early years in Woodlawn, Maryland and attended Woodlawn High School. There he created friendships with many people whom he remained in close contact with and became life-long friends. Many people knew Chris as Hammer, a name given to him at an early age by his close friends. Chris began his career as a plumber with his dad and brothers, then became manager of multiple duckpin bowling centers where he met his wife, Jennifer. His path led him to starting his own successful family business as a general contractor.
Chris enjoyed music (especially 70s and classic rock), fishing, duckpin bowling, being in nature, and spending time with those he loved. He always looked forward to his annual fishing trips in Wachapreague, VA and Hatteras, NC. There was never a shortage of laughter and fun when Chris was around. His laugh was infectious, and his love was never-ending. Most of all, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially all his cherished grandchildren. Chris will be missed tremendously by all.
A visitation for Christopher will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9PM and Friday, August 5, 2022 from 3-5PM at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 5, 2022 at 4PM at the funeral home.
