
On January 18, 2015 Dolores Anna Jeffers,(nee Gardiner) passed away. She was born on March 21, 1923, beloved wife for 73 years of the late Henry A. Jeffers Jr., who preceded her in death on December 9, 2014.
Mother of Henry A. Jeffers, III and his wife Elizabeth, Francis A. Jeffers, William Gardiner Jeffers and his wife Margaret, and Anna Dolores Jeffers and her husband Thomas J. Gisriel.
Grandmother of Pamela Jeffers Roy, Katherine Jeffers Jones, Steven Arthur Jeffers, Shawn Michael Jeffers, Jim Gisriel, Andrew John Jeffers, Sarah Gisriel Bal and Joseph Boylan Gisriel.
Great Grandmother of Dana R. Jones, Alexis Virginia Roy, Mercedes Nicole Jeffers, Amanda Irene Roy, Eric John Jeffers, and Joshua Liam Jeffers.
Graduate of Kenwood High School, Class of 1941, Campfire Girl, Campfire Girl Counselor at Camp Wawanaisa in Severna Park in the 1930s, Wife of an army officer, moving 33 times during her marriage. She lived around the United States, Occupied Japan after WWII, Okinawa, and in Frankfurt Germany. Attended college in her 50s and earned two bachelor degrees: one from Towson University in Studio Art and Environmental Science, the other from UMBC in linguistics. She was an avid genealogist being descendant from two Revolutionary War Patriots. She was beloved by her family and was multi-talented leaving behind drawings, pastels, oil paintings, water colors, braided rugs, pottery, a hand crafted doll house, and much more. She loved family gatherings, opera, travel, the out of doors, wild flowers, gardening, camping and hiking.
