Every year, since Buddy's passing, we have people asking why he is not set up with a military display in the St. Paul's Chow Hall following our Veteran's Day Mass. They all remember how engaging Buddy and Sharon were and how much fun they had speaking with them. Buddy and Sharon, definitely the "A" Team of couples. CHEERS & BLESSINGS / Jerry L. Mr. George Miller, or "Mr. George", as my daughter and I always called him after he told us to just call him George, ( I couldn't ever just call him George, out of respect, and how I was taught ), - would always spot us when we would come to Clark's Elioak Farm to volunteer to get things ready, and greet us with a big wave! We would always go over to see him when he was there, and would be met with a big smile, a friendly hug, and a "Hi girls! How are you doing?!", and always with a twinkle in his eyes!  We'd all chat a bit about how our familys were, and what our projects were that we were working on that day, and then, back to work. Often we'd check back in before we left, and a see you again soon! was shared between us ... My daughter and I will truly miss seeing Mr. George, and his warm smile. He truly had an Enchanting spirit. 
Heartfelt prayers and love for Mrs. Miller and their children and Grandchildren ~ What a truly beautiful service it was.

I am sorry to hear about Mr. Buddy's passing.. He was such a sweet man and was a lot of fun.   We attended the same church for many years and also bowled at Westview for a few years...  I use to see him at the gas station all the time and we would talk about his truck and racing and the work he was doing at the time... May you find comfort cherishing the memories you have of him and know he will always be with you and the family.. 

I never met Mr. Miller, but enjoyed his work, both at the Enchanted Forest as a child & the recreation at the farm!  

Thanks to his family for sharing him with all of us who loved the Forest....we will not forget his craftsmanship & dedication.  

He will be missed!

Buddy was not only my Uncle but my Godfather. I have countless childhood memories of him that I will cherish. Although we didn’t see eye to eye as I was an idiot for many years He will always be my Uncle Buddy. He was good man who always took care of my Aunt Sharon and my cousins the best he possibly could. He was Patriotic man who loved this country and put his life on the line to defend it. It was an honor being your nephew and you will forever be missed. Don’t get in any trouble with my dad up there. Give Gran and Pop a big hug from me. 

I had only met Buddy a few times but that was all that I  needed to know what a nice, honorable man he was.  He was an interesting person to talk to, full of stories. My heart goes out to all his family and friends. RIP Buddy and thank you for your service to our country 😊

Dear Sharon and Miller Family,
Rodney and I were deeply saddened to hear of Buddy’s passing.  He was such a nice man and so handsome!  Whenever I saw him, I would tell him that he reminded me of Dean Martin which he loved hearing!  The two of you were the cutest couple and we enjoyed seeing you when you were in town.  You always had something fun going on with your living history programs.  We’ll never forget the last couple of times that you were in Gettysburg and came to sit on our front porch to chat.   We feel so blessed to have known you both and will never forget the wonderful memories we have.  Sharon, may you find peace in knowing that Buddy was a wonderful person and touched the lives of so many in a positive way.  Our prayers are with you and your family!     With Deepest Sympathy! My deepest condolences to the family especially Mrs. Sharon, Kenny and Keith. I met Buddy when I was with my grandfather, Louis Bradley as they both were in the same field of work. He was a great man and always a pleasure seeing him.  I'm very grateful I got to see him a few month's ago.  Never forget him. 

I met Buddy 2 years ago at Mays Avenue where I work out. He was the most sweetest person I have ever met. He calls you darling & beautiful and it just makes you feel good. One day he just became part of my family & he made me part of his. I didn’t have a grandfather in my life and he was like my grandfather. He treated me like a granddaughter, when he found out I was pregnant with my first daughter that was his grand baby, she was suppose to be due a day after his birthday. He wanted me to have her on his birthday sadly it didn’t happen that way. He loved us both dearly. The love Buddy gives is amazing, it’s love like no other! Its crazy to think he was just a customer who turned into family. It is so heart breaking he is no longer with us. I will miss you grandpa Buddy. I’m sorry you never got to take me a ride in that truck of yours. I definitely am sad I never got a chance too. Timmy, Livia & I we love you so much. May your soul Rest In Peace.

Buddy Miller was and will always be one of the most kind, honest, chivalrous and wonderful people I have ever had the honor to call my friend.  When I first met him, I was new into the reenacting/living history field.  He came up to me after a talk at an event - took my hand and kissed it saying "Allan Pinkerton at your service, Ma'am" as he pulled his card out of his pocket.  I introduced myself and told him that he had just met a Southern lady from Virginia.  He said "Well then, I will have to keep my eyes on you to make sure you aren't spying or getting into anything."  From that minute forward, I felt like I was part of his and Sharon's family.  And I always did feel like he kept an eye out for me as well as all the other ladies who were around.  None of us worried about a thing if Buddy was there.  He was gracious, delightful, full of life and happiness with a twinkle in his eye every time I saw him.   He never forced his opinion on you but if you asked, he would give you his personal experiences and very helpful advice.

No matter who I brought to meet him and Sharon - they were both so kind-hearted to everyone they put each person at ease and we felt like we had known them a lifetime.  I have friends who only met Buddy once and they still talk about him and how much they like him.  When I told my son who loved Buddy what happened - he said "He was a hell of a guy.  I liked him more than anyone."

Sharon & family - I am sending you love as you are in my thoughts and prayers.  His physical form may have left but he will never leave you, Sharon.  He cherished you and it was a relationship we should all look for in love.  George Washington "Buddy" Miller, Jr. will NEVER be forgotten.  A man with a soul as beautiful as Buddy's will live on with all he taught us and gave to us.  It almost feels like he decided to go first to make sure Heaven was ready for all of us when we get there.   May you rest in peace and we will see you when we get there.  <3
