James was an amazing brother. I am finding myself going to his facebook page or coming here on a daily basis to read what people say about him, to look at his pictures, to read our conversations to each other via Facebook....I close my eyes and imagine him still here and hear his voice....as if not to forget...... I know he is in a better place now, but that doesn't take away the loneliness you feel in your soul. He had such a sense of humour, always quick with something to say, incredibly witty. I will miss him calling me "doh doh", teasing me constantly, I am so thankful the Lord let us enjoy our time with him for 41 years.....I look forward to the day when we will meet again "Inside the Eastern Gate".....wait for us James.....we'll be there soon.

James will forever hold a special place in our hearts.  So many moments in our 20's were spent with James and we will cherish them always.  I know James is at peace with the Lord.  God Bless.

Ruth I am so sorry to see this news online. I am sure you are so overwhelmed. I am so sorry I missed it and wasn't there to support you. I send you all my love and rejoice that he is in heaven with his savior. I pray that God will shower you with His grace and love during your grieving. I love you,

James fought a valiant battle to stay strong , healthy and among us, in spite of the multitude of his health problems, his humor and keen perception of the world as it is , will be an inspiration to me for a lifetime. I am Certain he will be sorely missed, not only by his family, but everyone that got to know him.

 James was my brother and best friend. I can't remember us ever talking and the conversation not in some way being about the Lord. James had no greater love than for his Savior, and now he is with him. I will see him again when I also go to meet my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

James will be missed by really anyone who knew him.  He was so funny and a gentle giant.  We had some great times, and I look forward to seeing him again one day, when we worship together before the throne.  Love you big guy!!!

I grew up with Jimmy and there were many years that we were in the same class in school. He was always a good friend and always had a great sense of humor. I remember how hard he could kick in kickball and how hard it was to knock him off when we played king of the tires. I think that Jimmy and I were the youngest ones allowed on the fishing trips to Lewes, DE. Cheers, until we meet again. My condolences to all the Bergman family.

The memories I have with James will last forever.  He was like a member of our family.  He brought a lot of laughter to our home.  James was a very special person.  I will miss you.

Went to school with James.  I remember time during mission's conference at Arlington where he wore a kilt and Pastor Bisset was so pleased to see him dressed like that.  We will pray God's peace that passes all understanding surround your family at this time.
