Joan Carroll

Joan Carroll, of Catonsville, MD, passed away on April 4, 2026, at the age of 82. Joan was born on September 2, 1943 in Baltimore and grew up in the Dundalk neighborhood. She graduated from Dundalk High School and promptly pursued employment at Kaydon Ring and Seal, formerly known as Koppers. She would later go on to retire from Liberty Plumbing & Heating. Joan was the sweetest, most loving, caring woman who had the largest heart and loved her family and friends more than anything. She is survived by her two loving children, Rhonda Brooks and Charles (Michael) Carroll; and her adored grandson, Andrew (Drew) Funk. She was pre deceased by her beloved husband, Charles (Ron) Carroll; cherished brother, George Helmcamp; and devoted parents Harry and Anna Helmcamp.

Visitation will be held at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228, on April 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on April 14, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228, on April 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117, on April 14, 2026, at 2:30 pm.
