On February 25, 2014, Joseph J. Drechsler, loving husband of Katherine R. Drechsler (nee Kerler) passed away. He was a member of American Legion and Knights of Columbus. Beloved father of Katherine A. Wolf and late husband Allen, Ann M. Powers and husband Marty, Michael J. Drechsler, Mary T. Whittington, and Joseph J. Drechsler Jr. and fiancé Donna. Brother of Teresa Killen, Miriam Schindler, Frederick “Fred” Drechsler, and the late Mary Clare Leppert. Grandfather of ten and Great-Grandfather of six.
Family will receive friends at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Ascension, 4603 Poplar Ave., Baltimore, MD 21227 on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:30am. Interment New Cathedral Cemetery.
