Peacefully on April 13, 2011; Rhoda Belle Tawney (nee Helmick) passed away. She is the beloved wife of Thomas M. Tawney for 67 years; loving mother of Janet Ryan (Frank), Louetta Neighoff (Fred), Thomas M. Tawney, II (Susan), Linda Phillips (Dick) and Laurie Tawney; cherished “Memom” of Steven, Kathleen, James, Julie, Robert, Matt, Christopher, Andrew, Brian, Melissa, Joyce, Richard; and 12 great grandchildren; dear sister of Zanell John, Maydell Peterson, Eldon Helmick (Joan) and the late Harvey Helmick. She is also survived by sister-in-law Betty Helmick and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the STERLING ASHTON SCHWAB WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, on Monday from 4-7PM and Tuesday from 10-11AM; where funeral services will immediately follow. Interment in Lakeview Memorial Park.
