       Casey was always helpful and considerate to me and  my family.  A couple of years ago he took Wes and I to the Republican Caucus  and explained the procedures so my son could learn.  He also helped me  on a water rights issue. I  now wish I would have taken more opportunities to spend time with him. I miss him.

My condolences go out to Casey’s family especially his sister and nieces who he introduced me to at the Stock Show in January.  He loved and was so proud of you all.  It was an honor to be counted as one of his friends. He will be missed by all. 

Casey always made the effort to keep up with his friends, even really old ones! He made sure to see how I was doing, no matter where I was living. His easy smile and gentle nature always made a friend, or a new acquaintance, right at home. He showed the true spirit of a westerner, a cowboy, and a consumate gentleman. 
Like all of you, I will miss him greatly. 
I'm very sorry to miss his service, but I will be there in spirit and love.

It looks like Julie and I are not going to be able to travel to Colorado from Nevada because of the coronavirus and it breaks my heart. I want so much to be there at his funeral to say goodbye to him and to see Corinne mom and Corinne and Jeff, Marion and Dan, Craig and Julie, and our mutual friends. Casey came into my life when I really needed him and I loved him and will never forget him.  His family was so good to me too. I'm so sorry you lost him. We will meet him in heaven.

Casey had a way of  throwing out a one liner in that cowboy way  that made people bust out  laughing at themselves and  lighten up.  He loved to entertain Julie, Patrick and  Debbie and  often got others involved.  Casey always had a bit of mischievous , comic cowboy in him.  The mundane 2 minute  act of rolling   a washing machine in a red wagon to a nearby house became  slapstick  when  Casey  sat down on Julies tricycle, pointed to Patrick’s and told me ‘Saddle up!.   Our Tucson Street gang had a blast doing everything in the mountains.  It was a joy to see him patiently teaching Julie and Patrick how to do things.   You could tell he was likely  channeling a great father he learned things from.     Casey was a  person we could count on,  When I was injured hunting,  Casey  got me loaded on my horse, and down the mountain.   Camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and hunting,  skiing, and so many Tucson St block  gatherings were  always more fun with Casey there.  

Casey was the closest thing I ever had to a dad and there are really no words to express how much I appreciate him, his influence and his dedication to my life when I was younger...but I will try.   

I have so many fond memories of Casey.  When I was small (and sometimes moody), he always found a way to crack me up when I was little kid, meltdown level mad and he would change the tide.  He spent time talking  through so much with me and he wouldn’t let me blow off important subjects.   He taught me things about having good character and integrity.  He taught me how to be a good citizen and a how to be a better human being.  He taught me how to be tough and, “get back on that horse,” when he was actually teaching me how to ride.    I watched him groom my brother into the intellectual giant he is today, they did science projects, discussed cool concepts I don’t understand even to this day....I read so many great books because he gave them to me.  Without this man’s influence I would not be the person I am today and there are just too many things to list.  We had so much fun together; he was a big part of making my childhood memories so special and wonderful. 

Casey you will be loved and missed for the rest of my life.  Thank you so much for all you did for me.   There is no greater investment than pouring into a child and he gave so much and got probably very little in return...I know he is looking down from heaven and I hope he is proud of what his investment turned into because I couldn’t really have asked for more from him.   

God gave me such a blessing when he gave me you Casey.

 Casey was a dear friend to me and to my late husband Mort Marks from the time Mort passed away in September Casey has called at least once a week to see how I’m doing and to ask if there’s anything he could do to be of help. 
 He joined my family on special occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve even though he had other events to go to he will be deeply missed. Edie Marks
