Charles J. Park

Charles J. Park passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the age of 90 in Rifle, CO. He was born in Athol, Kansas in 1929 to Charles Sr. and Orah. Charles J. Park married Florene Hamburger in Greeley, CO in October 1950. In May of 1951 Charles joined the Army and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in February 1953. His main career throughout life was as a carpenter, working on some of Denver’s tallest commercial buildings. He enjoyed rebuilding all types of engines, custom carpentry, woodworking and helping out others.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Florene and is survived by his four children, Faylene Simons, Sharla Thome, Verlyn Park and Chuck Park; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters Betty and Sondra.

A graveside service for Charles will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery.
