Born on July 28, 1933 in Paterson, he was the son of the late William and Dora Meines.
He was married to the late Janet Basham Meines and Alyce Pruiksma Meines.
Clix proudly served with the United States Navy after graduation from high school. While in the Navy, he met Janet and they married. After the Navy, they settled in Prospect Park, NJ and Clix worked several jobs before working for Best Foods. Clix 's job took them to PA, MD, FL and then NC. After Jan's death, he later moved to CO and married Alyce.
He is survived by his children: Robyn Mann and her husband Tim of Florida, Jeffrey and his wife Mai of MD, Dean of IA, and Darla Carriger and her husband Aubrey of GA; nine beloved grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by one sister, Ruth Van Hoff and her husband Rich of NY. He was predeceased by two sisters, Gertrude Beintema and Ann Ricco, both in September, 2015 .
