Corinne Craig Kemp

Corinne Craig Kemp died peacefully at her home with family members at her side.

Born February 22, 1926, in Nashville, Tennessee, she attended Vanderbilt University for a degree in Mathematics. Her love of the mountains and skiing brought her west, moving to Colorado in 1950 where she would build her family. She settled in Denver and married Chauncy A. Kemp Jr. on October 13, 1954. They lived and worked in Denver while also enjoying time at the ranch in Parshall, Colorado.

In 1960 they bought and ran the Riverton Auction Barn in Riverton, Wyoming for several years. They then moved back to Englewood, Co in the fall of 1965, where she would live until present.

Corinne was very active member in her community, being heavily involved in her Church, Bible Study Fellowship, Community Bible Study, Junior League of Denver, and National Society of Colonial Dames. She also had a wide range of hobbies, loving to ride horses, knit, crochet, play bridge, bowl, and golf. Her love for the Lord and her five children though were always her first priority.

Corinne was preceded in death by her father and mother, Edward Burr Craig Jr. and Marian Henderson Craig. Her five siblings, Marian Craig (Nashville, Tn), Margretta Craig (Sevierville, Tn), Edward Burr Craig III (Shelbyville, Tn), Crockett Craig Kemp (Kremmling, Co) and John Craig (Nashville, Tn). Her husband Chauncy A. Kemp Jr., son Casey A. Kemp and daughter Margretta L. Kemp (all of Greenwood Village, Co)

She is survived in death by her son E. Craig Kemp (Holly - Whitefish, Mt), Corinne K. Hummel (Jeffrey - Watkins, Co), Marian K. Hudson (Daniel - Fairplay, Co), ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren as well as two nieces, two nephews, and numerous extended family members.

A small graveside service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Christ Body Ministries, Junior League of Denver, National Society of the Colonial Dames - McAlister House, or The Salvation Army.
