George passed away peacefully at Westlake Care Community in Lakewood Colorado. He graduated from Evergreen High School in 1953. He lived in Tiny Town, Colorado for many years before moving back down to Denver in 1985
George volunteered at Holly Heights Nursing Home for 25 years. He loved spending time with the residence and having lunch.He used the bus system everywhere he went. His favorite outing for many years was to take the bus to downtown Denver have lunch at McDonalds and go to the movies. George didn’t miss many special parades downtown. His two favorite restaurants where White Fence Farm (not for the chicken but for the petting zoo and the gift shop) and McDonalds
George was survived by 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 7 great nieces, 5 great nephews, 4 great great nieces, 6 great great nephews and 1 great great great nephew.He was preceded in death by father Erick Heleen, mother Veva Heleen, brothers Edward and Gene Heleen and nephew Erick Heleen
Celebration of life will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the Vogt Chapel at Mile Hi Church. 9077 W. Alameda Ave, Lakewood Colorado.
