Grady F. Howell of 8 Spyglass Drive, Littleton, Colorado born August 18, 1925 in Cotton Valley, Louisiana, entered into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ October 19, 2012.
He served in the United States Merchant Marine during World War II as a Cadet Midshipman at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. As Third Engineer Officer he served on ships transporting troops, bombs, airplane fuel and other war material to England and Pacific Islands. He served in the Battle of the Atlantic, Normandy Invasion, and the Philippine Invasion.
He was a graduate of Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 1950. On February 5, 1954 he married Mary Frances Crump in Houston, Texas. He moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1968 with his wife, Mary Frances and their four children. He was employed in sales by Tuboscope until 1986. Since then he had been Owner/Broker of Howell & Associates Realtors in Littleton, Colorado.
He was a member of Littleton Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner member of El Jebel Temple in Denver, Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances, a son, Grady Duane Howell (Birgid) of Littleton, Colorado, three daughters, Dawn Powell (Michael) of Denver, Colorado, Patrice Howell of Edgartown, Massachusetts, and Erin Sledge (Rick) of Huntsville, Texas, and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thurdsay, October 25th, from 5:00-7:00pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral service will be held 11:00, Friday October 26th, at Littleton Baptist Church, 1400 W Caley Ave, Littleton, CO 80120.
