

Jack passed peacefully January 30, 2016 at LeMay Health Care in Ft. Collins, CO
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fern Greenstreet Olson, father, Harry A. Olson, Sister, Shirley (Olson) King. He is survived by his wife, Dolores (Yingling) Olson, children, JoAnn (Olson) Vinyard, and her husband, John Vinyard, Gary Olson, and his wife: Dibby (Teaf) Olson, and children: Jack and Ian Olson and his sister, Carol (Olson) Ayres.
His childhood years were spent in Englewood, CO. and St. Louis, MO. He graduated in 1946 from Kemper Military Academy in Booneville, MO. At age 20 Jack started a used car business in Kirksville, MO.
He was in the Missouri National Guard when, in I950 during the Korean War, he was drafted to the army. He was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Staff Sergeant 1st Class.
At age 25 he returned to Colorado and started his career selling cars and trucks at Burt Chevrolet in Englewood, CO. Through the years, he received many awards for excellence in salesmanship. He was honored by Chevrolet's Legion of Leaders. He retired from Burt's after 38 years, in 1991.
Jack was active in the Littleton Sertoma club. He helped initiate the Englewood Bronco Quarterback club in 1965
After several retirement years in Georgetown, TX, Jack and Dolores came back home to Colorado. They relocated to Ft. Collins in 2007. Jack and Dolores were married 62 years.
He was well known and well liked. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, many friends, and all who knew him.
