Jackie was born January 1, 1938 in Grand Junction, Colorado to William and Margaret Johnson (Laycock). She met and married the love of her life, Robert Lee Johnson and the two of them had a lasting and loving marriage of over 58 years. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed playing bridge, reading, spending time with friends and enjoying quality time with her family. She loved all animals and cherished her family cats and dogs. In addition to being a homemaker, Jackie also worked at Vogue Clothing Store in Grand Junction, was a receptionist at Mesa Memorial and spent many years at Mesa College in the book store.
Jackie will be dearly missed by her husband, Bob; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sandi Johnson; her grandsons, Dylan, Dustin, Dakota and Dawson; her sister, Phyllis Worster; her aunt, Virginia Gray; and several other relatives and friends.
A private family funeral will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary. The family invites guests to join them for a luncheon and celebration of Jackie's life at the home of Jeff and Sandi Johnson. Jackie will be laid to rest in Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
