At the age of 86, Jane Gray Bohlen passed away surrounded by her loved ones in her home in Centennial. In her 86 years she had seen and done so much. The photos of her life show a beloved daughter to Duane and Isabel Gray. She grew up in Pennsylvania with her siblings, 3 brothers and 1 sister. In high school she excelled in choirs and theater, even performing at Carnegie Hall. She served the Methodist Church in the choir too. Her love of music followed her throughout her life, she loved the opera. For a period of time she was a stewardess for Eastern Airlines, only leaving the position to be there for her children.
Jane had a thing for holidays, being a Halloween baby, and getting married to Fred Bohlen on the 4th of July in 1970. Those years with Fred were amazing. They had a beautiful home, 2 wonderful sons, and lots of love. She was a kind individual, and that kindness was fostered into her want to volunteer with many organizations, including the Colorado Aids Project. She will be vividly remembered as a kind, courageous, devoted, and inspiring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Fred preceded Jane in death. Her sons, Bill and John, along with her granddaughter, Graycee, now carry on her legacy.
To celebrate Jane's life and all she meant a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary in Centennial. Jane will be laid to rest with Fred at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery following her funeral service.
