JoAnn Richins Lythgoe

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Marvin Lythgoe; her brothers, Don, and Bob Richins; and her grandson, Steven Frischknecht.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Debbie and Dave Frischknecht of Post Falls, Idaho, and Chris and Tim McEntee of Greenwood Village, Colorado. JoAnn leaves behind four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. JoAnn spent the last 15 years of her life without her beloved Marv. After Dad's passing, she quickly found her strength, courage, and determination. We know the” Marv Man” would be so proud of his “bride” for rallying with courage and dignity.

JoAnn graduated from Weber High School, attended Weber State College, and graduated from LDS Business College. One of the most joy-filled times in her life was when she was involved with and eventually served as president of the Fraternal Order of the ELKS, BPO DOES in Ogden, Utah. She loved those ladies.

Everyone who was lucky enough to know JoAnn knew she was known for her sense of style. She was a little overboard about her hair. She had her hair professionally done at least once a week since she was fourteen. She was obsessed with balancing a checkbook and was a fan of cookies for breakfast and frog eye salad.

JoAnn loved her family and friends and appreciated all those who took time to be with her. She has friendships that started in elementary school and continue to this day.

All those who loved JoAnn are invited to say goodbye at a viewing on Friday, January 2, from 2:00-2:30 with a short service and grave dedication at 3:10 at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a very special organization to JoAnn in her name: REVEL, which is a Denver nonprofit serving teens and young adults with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. REVEL address is 3501 S Blake Street 250 and #220 Denver, CO 80205

The family would like to thank all the employees at The Inn at Greenwood Village for their Support, compassion, and especially the love you abundantly gave to Mom. She adored all of you.
