

John Nash Austin, 90, passed away July 7, 2016 peacefully at his residence in Centennial. John was born on July 5, 1926 in Laurens, South Carolina, the son of John Nash Austin and Dell Sumerel Austin Marks. He was united in marriage to Jean Tiedeman Austin on May 20, 1956. They had 2 children. John served in World War II then obtained his Engineering Degree from Clemson and had a long and prosperous career at Sterns-Roger. He was a valued member in the firm and worked on many projects in Colorado, California and Arizona.
John was an avid golfer and loved traveling, reading and spending time on the beach with his wife and family. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend who enjoyed meeting his work colleagues for lunch, golf or libations and reminiscing about all the great work they completed during their working days. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Daryl) Lindeman; son, John N. (Raissa) Austin; 4 grandchildren, Casey Lindeman, Jill Lindeman, Audrey (Jeremy) Dertien, McKensi Austin; sister, Margaret Marks of Greenville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Austin of Batesburg, SC. and his wife, Jean in 2008.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:15 am, Friday, July 15, 2016 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at Wellshire Event Center after the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the church or charity of your choice. A special thanks to the caregivers and staff at Abundant Blessings & Care at Geddes. Your love, support and care was exceptional.
