Joyce Ann Barbour

Joyce was born in Detroit, MI the youngest of four children. Joyce married Tom in 1955 and was his beloved wife for 64 years until his passing in September 2019.

Also, preceding in death are her parents, Robert and Essie Haney, brother 1st LT. Robert Haney (WWII P-51 pilot), sisters Doris Richter and Betty Graham.

Survived by her sons Bill (JoAnn), Tom (Debbie); grandchildren Tommy (Brittany), Kyle (Tawni), Tyler (Saundra), Melissa (Deron) Dircksen; great grandchildren Peyton, Brody, Hartlee, Bella, Zylia, Davis, and Reverie.

Joyce was a dedicated mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Columbine Daughters of the American Revolution for 50 years and a master gardener with Arapahoe County. Her yard was always full of beautiful flowers. Joyce began playing the piano at age 6 and was an accomplished classical pianist. Tom loved listening to her play before their evening dinners. She played almost everyday and volunteered at a Sunrise Assisted Living by playing the piano in the lobby.

The family will have a private burial on August 1, 2023, and will host a Celebration of Life on August 27th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Vintage Reserve Clubhouse, NE corner of Coalmine and Depew.
