Kathryn Judith Tidwell entered eternal life on April 28, 2021 in Englewood, Colorado.
She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1947. She was the first of four girls and always cheerfully reminded her sisters that she was #1.
According to her sisters, Kathy grew up a kind, considerate person, gentle in spirit, cheerful of heart, who loved people, the ocean, mountains, animals, especially horses and dogs. She loved to sing, garden and had a special talent for drawing and art.
In 1960, the family re-located to California where Kathy attended Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in Orange, California. She later graduated from Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California in 1965.
She eventually settled in Colorado where she met her second husband, John. She helped John manage his business, Bear Creek Archery, where she was a Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) instructor as well as a National Archery Champion.
John and Kathy enjoyed motorcycle trips and spending time in the mountains. They also attended Horizon Christian Fellowship where Kathy taught Sunday school.
In 2005, Kathy turned her life over to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She served Him faithfully for the rest of her life and is now with Him in heaven, free from all worry and pain.
She is survived by her husband, John; her three sisters, Sandy, Leilana, and Susan; her three children, Rebecca, Shannon Lee, Zebediah and their families; as well as, John’s children Shanon Marie, Cinda, Lyn and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donation to Alzheimer’s research. https://act.alz.org/site/Donation2?df_id=32112&32112.donation=form1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paidsearch&utm_campaign=google_giving&set.custom.wt=giving&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwayx2Nek8AIV2WpvBB2VtglvEAAYASAAEgJydfD_BwE
