

Born in Denver, CO on October 15, 1928 and was proud to be a Colorado Native. He was born to Eva Gourley and Erne Hesser. Red received his drivers license at the age of 16 and went to work for his father's trucking Co. for many years. He held many driving jobs and was very devoted to all of them. His was employement for 40 years with Hertz Rent-A-Car and retired from there in 1985 due to an injury. The last several years drove a 3 car tow truck and loved every hour of it. Beside his passion for his work, Red loved camping, especially on their property near Red Feathers Lake. He also loved traveling in the camp trailer or motorhome. He just loved driving through the mountains and through the country. In later years, he took senior bus trips to many areas of our country. Red took great pride in his beautiful yards and enjoyed making wood projects. Red loved to watch Nascar and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr. Red was an avid donator to Bonfils Blood Drives. He was the recipient of the 5 gallon donation pin.
Red is survived by his wife of 38 years, Maurine. His three children; Dianna (Bill) Baldwin, Erne (Deb) Hesser and Annette (Paul) Ware. He is also survived by his four step-children; Marsha (Eugene) Lessar, Larry (Georgia) Alford, Sheryl Groth and James Lucra. He has twelve grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters; Viola and Helen, a brother in law Marvin and his eldest son Lloyd Hesser, Jr.
