Margaret Rose Forster passed away on October 11, 2021 at the age of 103. Margaret was born on September 29, 1918 in Denver Colorado. She graduated from West High School in 1937 and married Edward Rigney Forster on May 29, 1940. Margaret and Edward built their house in Denver as well as several rental properties. They acquired more rental properties over the years, making for a full time job in addition to Edward's full-time job at the Gates Rubber Co. and Margaret's extensive church and school activities.
Margaret was especially active as a Girl Scout Leader for several years, forging life-long friendships with the girls in her troop. In addition to many hunting and fishing trips, and lots of time spent at the "Ranch" in the Colorado mountains, Margaret and Ed loved to travel. Their trips included Alaska & Canada, ocean cruises, the West Coast, and several trips to their favorite: Mexico. She was also a prolific and talented painter, dancer, seamstress, and craftsperson, her creations ranging from elaborate wedding cakes to custom made halloween costumes.
After Edward's death in 1974, Margaret resumed her travels, with winters spent in Arizona, and world travels including the Pacific islands, Australia, New Zealand, the British Isles, the European Continent, and ocean cruises. Florida trips with each of her Granddaughters are especially cherished.
She was preceded in death by a son Danny, daughter Lisa, and husband Edward. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly FitzRandolph (Jim) of Centennial, CO: son Jerry Forster (Donna) of Ranchester, WY; 7 grandchildren: Erin Boeding, Lisa Jones, Megan Loose, and Mandy Macaluso of Colorado; Gina Logan and Rebecca Herman of South Dakota, and Michelle Forster of Wyoming, along with 19 great grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Nov. 6th in Denver, with arrangements in care of Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary.
