Born in Mitchell, NE, she was the youngest daughter of Eva Marguerite Adney & Omer Kem Smith. She attended Mitchell High School and graduated in 1949.
She & her family would spend many weekends together at the dance hall, where she'd later meet her husband Tom. The two would marry in 1955.
Jeanne & Tom welcomed their son Kevin in 1957 & daughter Tamara in 1959. Over the next 16 years, the Navy & Air Force took them to 5 states, the Philippines & England. Tom retired from the US Air Force in 1970 & stayed to make their home Englewood, Colorado.
Tom passed away April 8, 1975.
Jeanne went to work as a secretary at Scenicview Elementary School. She then transfered to the Englewood Schools Administration for 25 years. After retiring from the school district, she went to work for the City of Englewood where she'd retire as a City Records Management Clerk after 17 years.
She enjoyed watching and attending Colorado Rockies & Denver Nuggets games, Bingo, working out in her yard and sitting on her swing in the sunshine.
She will be remembered for her hard work, kind heart, quick wit, and endless love for her family & friends.
Jeanne is survived by her children Kevin Kelly(Andrea) & Tami Kaps (Greg), grandchildren Corey Briggs, Samantha Steinhoff(Mark) & Sean Kelly(Ana), great grandchildren Quinlan & Elise.
Preceded in death by her husband Tom & great grandchild Brady.
