I have a few Memories with grandma.  It is hard to pick one... between the day of boating at the lake, or the sleep over with Lisa and my sisters.  Playing hide and seek.  And a few others.

Aunt Nancy, as I called her all of my life, was a wonderful, loving and caring person who was loved by everyone who knew her.  I also remember the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays spent together, at her home and my family's, the women cooking while the men watched football, then cleaning up together.  
Aunt Nancy was there at all of the important events in my life; graduations, weddings, funerals. 
I remember what a sense of humor she had. 
I remember in later years when my parents were elderly she would make them a delicious casserole and drop it off. It was so kind, and typical of her helping people.  
She was so dear to me, I will miss her so much.

I have had the opportunity to know Nancy for 14 years now. I have enjoyed and admired her calmness, good humor, compassion, sharp mind and great love for all people.  I was amazed that even at her 90th birthday party, although she was in physical distress, her love for others was clearly felt.

I met Nancy through being a co-worker of Rick (Ricky...I can still remember her saying) and though I was not family, she sure welcomed me that way (and yes, Rick, she spoiled you...but I think it was mutual). I remember her being so sweet and kind, while still opinioned and strong. Her care for my best friend/dog (Ray really enjoyed trips to her place while he was still here) and also for Rick's Sasha/Seven, will always be held as special memories for me. Thank you Nancy.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Nancy's passing. I will always remember her kindness and her joyous spirit. I remember bringing our first granddaughter Lucy to meet Nancy when Lucy was just over 1 year old. I have fond memories of the many Donkin family Thanksgivings at their home on S. Vallejo in Denver. She will be missed.

Grandma, One to my favorite childhood memories is going to your house and feeding the baby ducks at the park across the road from your house. I remember running through a flock of geese and them turning around and chasing me, it's funny to think back on it but at the time I was terrified! I always looked forward to sleepovers at your house with our cousin Lisa (David was always so shy, and the only boy in the group of us girls, poor guy)! I will always hold these special memories close to me and they will never be forgotten.

Your mom was such a beautiful person, both inside and out.   God bless you and your family.

I only knew Nancy for a few years but she was one of the sweetest people out there.  I am greatful to have known her and think of her often.

Nancy, No one could ask for a better Mother-in-law. I will treasure and love you always.

Steady and unflappable, fashionable, kind--these are just a few words to describe how I remember you from the earliest days of my life until now, spanning more than 50 years. All those Thanksgiving dinners, Christmases as a child and an adult, graduations, showers, weddings, births of children, funerals--you were there, a calm  and loving presence. In many ways you were like a mother to me. I will miss you so much.

No matter how old we are losing a mother is one of the deepest  sorrows a heart can know. Thank you Mom, for all you taught me, the love you gave me and the legacy you left me. I will forever miss your love.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Being the youngest of three boys, I always felt that mom gave me special attention. I am sure Ron and Larry also feel the same. She touched the hearts of everyone she meet.
