She went on to attend college in Sioux City, Iowa, and began her professional life working in a tax office.
In 1949, Patricia married the love of her life, Arnold Ogden, whom she met while riding his bus. That same year, they moved to Colorado, where she would spend the next 76 years building a life rooted in faith, family, and service.
Patricia lived a life marked by deep community involvement and unwavering dedication. A lifetime member of the United Methodist Church, she was also a devoted member of several Masonic organizations, accumulating over 172 years of combined membership. Her roles included:

Later in life, she dedicated herself to volunteer work—serving as an administrator at the Arvada Senior Resource Center and volunteering at Lutheran Medical Center into her late 80s. Her commitment earned her the “Volunteer Superstar Hero Award.”
