

Raul Negron-Morales was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on May 23, 1956. At 18 years of age he joined the U.S. Army for the first time in 1974, and was honorably discharged in May of 1976. During his first tour of duty on January 10, 1976 he married his lovely high school sweetheart Andrea Machado Gonzalez. In 1977, Raul and Andrea welcomed their first daughter Jean Marie, A.K.A. La Bebe. On March 22, 1978, Raul, for the second time, took the oath to defend the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic with the United States Army.
At this time in his military career Raul and his family moved to Germany. While in Germany Raul, Andrea, and Jean welcomed two new additions to the family; Melissa Liediette A.K.A. Flaqui in 1980, and Jennifer Michelle A.K.A. Twinkie in 1987.
While Raul was in the service he held multiple leadership positions, including; firing team leader, squad leader, platoon sergeant and first sergeant. He deployed 3 times to; Honduras, Bolivia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. One of which was for humanitarian service, to include building bridges and roads. The latter as First Sergeant of Construction Engineer Company (CS) an asset of 10th Mountain Division. After 22 years and 1 day of service Raul retired from the military on July 31, 1998. After retiring, Raul proceeded to work for The Department of Veterans Affairs until 2012. He also received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business/Human Resources from Park University.
Upon retirement, Raul and Andrea moved to the “Homestead” in St. Robert, Missouri. They would regularly surprise visit their daughters and son in-laws; Robert, Victor, and Alex in Colorado. Raul had a love of woodworking, movies, music, travel, his “MacGyver” bag, a crazy dog named Furball and spending time with his family both in Puerto Rico and Colorado (especially his granddaughter Elise Andrea A.K.A. Mini Twinkie).
Raul was especially proud of his family including: brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He had a special bond with his brother and sister, Charlie and Doris and other siblings, Carmensita and Johnny. He always had a special place in his heart for the women that raised him, Dona Guide and Titi Santa and Titi Guidia, and always wanted to live a life that made them proud.
He will be missed greatly and will always be remembered in our hearts and memories.
