Robert Thomas Hogan, born December 29, 1949, in Omaha, Nebraska, passed away at the age of 74, at his home in Parker, Colorado. Bob was a towering figure with an even bigger personality, known for his humor, loyalty, and love for family and friends.
Throughout his life, Bob was an avid bowler, boasting three perfect 300 games and numerous high scores in the 200s. He relished the competitive spirit of league play and the friendly bets that came with it. Golf was another of Bob's passions. He delighted in playing with his Golf Buddies league and celebrated a hole-in-one achievement among them. His joy was amplified when playing golf alongside his sons or friends, especially when a small wager was involved. Bob's monthly poker games with longtime friends were eagerly anticipated, a testament to his love for camaraderie and challenge.
In his younger years, Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing, embracing the great outdoors. Hunting with his sons, whether successful or not, was a great time.
He was also a fervent fan of the Broncos, experiencing both heartbreak and joy with every game. His superstition about bringing bad luck to his team and leaving the room during close games became a quirky trait his family and friends fondly remember.
More recently, Bob enjoyed monthly domino games with friends. Family game nights playing cards or dominos were looked forward to. Having family and friends around was his joy.
Bob's legacy is carried on by his loving wife, Marlene Hogan; sons, Dan Hogan (Sarah) and Chris Hogan (Kristi); stepson, Curt Elliott (Tami); granddaughter, Cori Hogan Van Doren (John); grandson, Brody Elliott; step-grandsons, Scott Pilch and Bobby Ratcliff; and his uncle, Dale Hogan and his wife, Jan. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Thomas Hogan; mother, Irene Hogan; and brother, Tim Hogan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill, located at 6601 S. Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. Bob's life and memory will be honored by all those he touched with his larger-than-life presence and unwavering spirit.
