After graduating from high school, Tanya pursued higher education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Her passion for people and equality led her to break barriers in the airline industry as a stewardess with Western Airlines, where she became a trailblazer for women’s rights.
Tanya’s love for travel never waned, and she later worked with the Ports of Call Travel Club, which allowed her to explore the world and embrace new experiences. Those who knew Tanya remember her as a positive light, who always saw the good in others.
She is survived by her son, Brook; daughter, Kelly; and six grandchildren—Crystal, Joe, Charlie, Lauren, J.R., and Jayleen—who will carry her memory forward with love.
In accordance with Tanya’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held.
Tanya’s spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
