Born January 20, 1949 in Peoria, IL, Terri is the daughter of Jeanette M. Leach and of the late Gilbert E. Leach.
She married her beloved husband, Jay Schneider on January 6, 1973 in Rancho Cordova, CA. They had met at the University of Illinois, where they became close friends, falling in love and marrying, after graduating.
Terri attended both Bergan and Richwoods High Schools graduating Richwoods with the class of 1967. She continued her education at the University of Illinois, in Champaign Illinois, and obtained her teaching BA degree in Education.
Terri worked as a teacher in Dixon, IL and Rancho Cordova, CA. Later on, after raising her family she became one of the premier bridal consultants in the Denver area.
Terri and Jay moved to Spokane, WA, while Jay was in the Air Force, from 1972-76. They moved their family to Peoria, IL, after leaving the Air Force; subsequently living in Kenner, LA, Bakersfield, CA and Centennial, CO where they settled down to finish raising their family, and have lived there for the past 29 years.
Terri was a member of St Thomas More Catholic Parish. She was an accomplished quilter, producing beautiful quilts, recognized by the quilting community. Her passion was running where she became one of the top Colorado runners in her age group. She loved spending time with her husband, family, and granddaughter, Julianna.
Terri was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her surviving husband; two sons, Brian (Glenna) of Parker, CO, Eric (Cristina) of Aurora, CO and their daughter, Julianna; Terri's mother, Jeanette Leach of Morton, IL; two sisters, Connie Hartwell of Peoria, IL, Gail Mast (Ted) of Wilsonville, OR, and brother, Gib Leach (Deb) of Pekin, IL.
Terri was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert E. Leach and her brother-in-law, Raymond Hartwell.
A Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St Thomas More Catholic Parish, 8035 S Quebec St, Centennial, CO 80112, with the Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00 am.
