On his last day he was surrounded by nature, wildlife, his precious dog Melody (Mel) and he was wrapped in the love of his family.
Tim was born in Denver CO. and spent his childhood, young adult and later years in Edgewater CO.
Tim was always an adventurer and willing to try almost anything. At 8 years old he thought he’d fly by jumping off the roof (that didn’t work out to well haha) He loved Skiing, Fishing, Rodeos, Golf and Dog Herding.
Tim was proud to graduate from high school and go straight to trade school where he became a welder. He gained great skills and never lost his adventurous spirit. His motto was “To live his retirement while he was young” so he chose jobs that took him to incredible places and allowed him to travel the world.
The jobs he spoke about most often were from when he worked for “The Boat Company” exploring the Waters of Southeast Alaska, and the Corwith Cramer sailing ship owned by the Sea Education Association out of Woods Hole Massachusetts. He maintained the boats and took guests out as a fishing guide and visited wonderful places, i.e. Alaska, Costa Rica, Bermuda, and Nova Scotia. He also spoke quite often about his job at a Dude Ranch in Dubois Wyoming. His love of animals drew him to work for the Denver Dumb Friends league and become a dog trainer and most recently he felt fulfilled and valuable working for Olinger Mortuary as the Caretaker of the Mt. Lindo cemetery. Mt. Lindo gave Tim the opportunity to work outdoors in nature and to help people dealing with loss.
When asked how he’d like to be remembered Tim said:
“Live Life to the Fullest, Be Selfless, and Enjoy Every Minute”
He is Survived by his Father Gene Hartley, Brother Todd (Susan) Hartley, nephews T.J. and Beau, and niece Bella. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Donna Lee Hartley, his Sister Gina Hartley and his nephew Cameron Hartley.
