Wilbert Marshall Smith was my uncle.  He was the kindest, sweetest, dearest person anyone could ever want to know, and I loved him dearly.  He was always willing to listen, and upon my request, he would give me his advice, which I treasured greatly.  After my own Dad died, he became like a father to me when giving me advice and guidance, always eager to help, but never wanting to sway my opinion unless I wanted him to.  I would call him not only for advice but for many mundane things as well, such as directions getting places, a phone number from one of his older phone books that I no longer had, advice on cars, car repairs and help with making car buying decisions.  (He really loved cars, and knew them inside out.)  He was always willing to drop whatever he was doing, and come to my rescue....either on the phone, or if need be he used to offer to come to get me when my car would stall, or take me places like to get my eye surgery done  (he did take me and he was such a blessing).  I miss him so much, and will never forget him no matter how long I live.  Thank you, Unce Will, for being one of the best parts of my life, and for always, always being there for me!
