Marcella Rose Monte

Marcella Rose (Brodzinski) Monte, age 84, of Chester peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was born in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of John and Frances (Malkowski) Brodzinski. Marcella was a longtime resident of Chester and was a member of the Class of 1956 at Valley Regional High School. As her children were growing she was a devoted homemaker and as they grew older had a career working outside of her home. Marcella was an avid reader, loved her animals, polish music, dancing and had a remarkable green thumb. As a beloved grandmother she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves her children, Frankie J. Monte, of Groton, Dorianne Curran and Patricia Reed, both of Chester, her grandchildren, CJ and Amanda Curran, Katie and Ryan Reed, all of Chester, Justine and Gillian Monte, and her 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Marley, and Dominick. She also leaves her brother, John Brodzinski, of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Marcella was predeceased by her parents and her son, Russell Anthony Monte.
