Russell H. Daniels Jr., 77, longtime resident of Essex, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Middletown, CT, on November 24, 1947, Russell was the beloved son of the late Edna Walden and Russell Daniels, Sr. He worked at General Dynamics as a machinist. He then went on to Riggio Construction before his retirement. Russell was a kindhearted soul that loved his family. He was very active with his grandkids activities who he adored. He loved to cheer on the UCONN Women's and Men's basketball. His most enjoyable hobby was making sure his truck was immaculate. He loved watching the boats go up the Connecticut River. He will always be forever loved and deeply missed. Russell is survived by his two children, Michele Parker (Brian) of Salem, CT, Debbie Daniels (Eric Majewski) of Oakdale, CT, and two grandchildren Kaija Parker and Mykenzie Parker.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday February 28, 2025, at 11:00 am at Laysville Cemetery in Old Lyme, CT. Those wishing to be a part of the Funeral Procession to the Cemetery, should be at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT, by 10:15 am.
