Barbara J. Perry

She was born on June 6, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Harry and Alice (Cox) Sammond. She grew up in Malverne, New York and lived on Long Island most of her life, raising her family in Westbury and Stony Brook with her late husband Lyle F. Perry.

Barbara devoted herself to her children and grandchildren, and her greatest joy was to be with her family. She was the loving mother of Kevin Perry and his wife Drianne of Brooklyn, NY; Thomas Perry and his wife Ruthann of Lawrenceville, New Jersey; Barbara Giardina and her husband Charles of Storrs, CT; and Kathleen McCoy and her husband Steven of Centereach NY. She was the cherished grandmother of John and Thomas Giardina, Casey, Patrick and Madison McCoy, and Kyle, Jason and David Perry. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her son Daniel Perry, her brothers Bill and George Sammond, step-brother Donald Smith and step-sister Martha Degenhardt.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday October 19 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, N.Y. 11720. Committal Service Monday October 20 10:00 A.M. at L.I. National Cemetery 2040 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, N.Y. 11738.
