I've just found out about Laura's passing. I am heart-broken.
One memory? I can't possibly limit it to one. Laura and I met in our Senior year of High School,  attending Wilson Tech, and hit it off right away.  In no sort of order:
~our trip to Florida - Disney World and Daytona Beach;
~and trying to get into the wrong vehicle!
~going to Chuck-E-Cheese to play video games (as adults)
~going to the local school to play on the swing and see-saw (again, as adults)
~times spent at "Sunshines" in Huntington
~going to the Nursery at Christmas time to smell the pine trees
~Saturday shopping and lunch at 'Friendly's'
~"craft days" at home
~Laura trying to teach me how to crochet
~listening to the Steve Miller Band, pretending there was an alien invasion
~exploring unknown roads all over Long Island in my Toyota pick-up
The list goes on.....
Although distance, time, and "life" getting in the way of way-more frequent correspondence, Laura was, and will remain the best friend I have ever, and will ever have.  I will miss her for the rest of my life.
I loved you more, even, than a sister, Laura.

Dear Family, 

One of my favorite stories was when we were at Grandma and Grandpas house for their big anniversary.  Laura actually decided to join  the “monsters” as Grandpa would call us kids and  go outside after dinner. It was “somebody’s” idea to scare the adults .... and Laura joined in! Denis, John, Kenny, myself and Laura knocked loudly on the metal garage door and ran. We heard some screams and “who did that’s”.... but not being as sneaky as we thought, we all got in trouble upon returning for dessert and Laura was part of our little scheme.  It was then that I realized she did have a little spark of mischief in her and each time I saw her I tried to get it out but she was to smart for us. Laura, I am sorry you had a rough ending but I can picture you now, crocheting with Grandma and laughing with my Dad and Grandpa. We will all see you again someday but may you now rest peacefully, you were a special lady and we will never forget you. Love , Jill
