Mary Ellen literally brought me into the world--I was born on the way to the hospital and she delivered me while, I was told, my dad held the flashlight, while passing the Dayton library.  I was going to be named Susan but my mom decided to give Mary credit (or blame, depending on you point of view!) and decided to name me Suellen.  Some people thought I was named for Scarlett O'Hara's sister in "Gone with the Wind", but my mom had not remembered such a character!
