

Carroll "Sonny" Watts, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Greensburg, went home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 80. Carroll graduated from Central High School, attended LSU and later left for the United States Army. He served in Vietnam. Carroll was an instrument technician and worked all over the world, including Saudi Arabia and Alaska. He was loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ileta Venable Watts; daughter, Beverly Watts Patin (Alan); son, Doug Watts (Catherine); grandchildren, Blake Patin (Brittni), Carolyn Watts and one great-granddaughter, Claire Patin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William D. “Toby” and Dorothy O’Neal Watts and one brother, Tom Watts.
Visitation will be at Central Funeral Home at 9995 Hooper Rd, Central, LA 70818 on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 5177 Hwy 448, Greensburg, LA at 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am. The interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will include Blake Patin, Landon Moran, Tommy Watts, Jr., J. W. Watts, Jay Venable, Joe Venable, and Terry Lumpkin.
In lieu of flower the family wishes for donations to be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 414, Greensburg, LA 70441.
