Jessie Mae Taylor Judge received her eternal reward on Monday, October 3, 2022 at the age of 91. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother, extraordinary grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana on October 18, 1930. After graduating Istrouma High School in 1947 she went to work at Gulf States Utilities. On a blind date in August 1952, she met Billy Judge and after only 4 dates, they married on December 28th. She devoted her life to caring for her family. She was known for the delicious meals she provided for anyone who visited Jessie's Kitchen whether it was at her home or while traveling with her husband. She was a longtime member of Zoar Baptist Church in Central. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, her daughter Sharon Bennett and parents Elvia Mack and Emrie Taylor. She is survived by daughter Karen Dubois and son-in-law Kelvin Dubois, five grandchildren Kelly (Tim) Heroman, Klay (Anna) Dubois, Amanda (Sean) Hanegan, Aimee Bennett, and Ricky (Whitney) Bennett along with 10 great-grandchildren: Eli & Emalyn; Olivia, Charlie & Zach; Eleanor & John; Luke & Lucy; Wesley Kate. A very special thanks to the staff of Lane Senior Care at The Lodge at Lane in Zachary and staff of Compassus Hospice Care. Also, special thank you to caregivers Adrienne, Isis, Betty, Dovetta, Gladys, Debra, & Krameria who provided care and compassion to her for the past few years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude. Visitation at Zoar Baptist Church on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 11:30 am- 12:30 pm with the service at 12:30 pm. Interment will following at Greenoaks Memorial Park at 2:30 pm.
