

Jimmy Dale Boitnott, Sr., age 73, was welcomed into his Savior’s arms on January 30, 2021. Jimmy was born on June 29, 1947 to Helen and Sidney Boitnott in DeRidder, Louisiana and was the fourth born of nine children. A 1965 graduate of DeRidder High School, Jimmy moved shortly afterward to the Baton Rouge area where he learned the skill of plumbing, eventually owning his own plumbing company, Boitnott Plumbing, for over 45 years. He never met a stranger and could always be counted on to help someone in need. He will be missed by many friends he has made through the years. He is survived by the mother of his children, Lynne Boitnott; sons, Jimmy (Stacey), Sam (Rachel), and Mark (Stephanie); 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; step-father, Jim Dickerson; sisters, Mary Jo Murray, Linda Pruitt, Brenda Wood, and Sharon Bruce; brother, Danny Boitnott; long-time companion, Pam Cooley and her son, Max; special friend, Linda Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jimmy Boitnott was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Boitnott; mother, Helen Dickerson; sisters, Kaye Wade and Patsy Sharpe; and brother, Tommy Boitnott. Funeral services will be held at Life Tabernacle Church at 9323 Hooper Road, Central City, Louisiana on Friday, February 5. Visitation will begin at 12 pm with a service starting at 2 pm.
