Mildred Jean Poe

Mildred Jean Poe of Central, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the age of 86. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her passion was cooking for those she loved, and she will be forever missed by everyone that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edgar Cecil Poe; her parents, John and Alice Jackson; and her sons, Gregory Poe and Donald Poe. She is survived by one sister, Johnnie Boston; her sons, Ronnie Poe and James Poe; and her daughters, Connie Montgomery, Donna Dupont (Terry), and Wanda Dupre (Mark). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandy Roberts, Ashley Bridges, Courtney Lockhart, Kristie Verrette, Alisa Quintanilla, Nicole Yesko, Deeann Borland, Eric Dupont, Stanley and Nick Varnado, and numerous great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Central Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Rd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume Monday, May 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Central Funeral Home until the funeral services at 11:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6213 Groom Rd, Baker, LA 70714. Central Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
