Edna was a devoted Christian and loved her church family of Thomas Mill Baptist Church. Her life was so fulfilled with abundance of love and caring for others, traveling, gospel singings, eating and making memories with her family and friends, spoiling her 8 grandchildren and treasuring her 6 great grandchildren.
To know her was to see true love and caring as a true servant of God.
Edna is survived by her husband of 62 years, Kermit L. Stephens Sr. of Brierfield, Sons, Kermit (Sonya) Stephens Jr. of Brierfield, Kenneth (Teresa) Stephens of Brierfield, Walter (Genie) Stephens also of Brierfield.
Eight Grandchildren; Brandon Stephens-Brierfield, Jennifer (Spencer) Hinds-Montevallo, Marc (Marena) Stephens-Brierfield, Courtney Stephens-Brierfield, Kimberlee Stephens-Centreville, Justin (Allison) Stephens-Hoover, Lauren (Josh) Dikis-Pelham, Cole Tyrell-Montgomery.
Six Great Grandchildren; Jordon Stephens-Montevallo, Spencer Stephens-Brierfield, Case Hinds-Montevallo, Dalton and Declan Stephens-Hoover, Parks Dikis-Pelham.
Special Care Takers: Cheryl Jackson, Glenda Cook, Sandra Harris, Virginia Brand, Sylvia Glen, Pam Griffen, Bobbie White, Dianne Epperson and James Pettit.
Sisters, Peggy (David) Legrone-Brierfield, Glenda (Bob) Cook-Clanton. A host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Algie and Loretta Compton, 4 sisters, Elizabeth Compton, Myra Emfinger, Brenda Compton and Sandra Duke, 2 brothers, Earl Compton and Algie L. Compton Jr. and Great Nephew Eli Jackson.
